Star Van Rebel 4×4: A sprinter with a bedroom pull-out

Attention, risk of confusion! The name Rebel 4×4 recently appeared in connection with another camper from the Rhön Camp brand. The Star Van Rebel 4×4 shown here is neither related nor related by marriage, although it is also based on the current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with factory all-wheel drive, 9-speed automatic transmission and numerous assistance systems.

But then the similarities really end, because the Star Van drives up with a patented highlight. At the push of a button or manually, a slide-out in the rear extends to a length of 1.20 meters. Then the six meter short sprinter becomes a stately motorhome with a generous sleeping area of ​​1.40 x 2.0 meters.

However, the Rebel 4×4 does not offer side “cheeks” to increase the width like this camper from Etrusco. There is plenty of space in front of the pulled-out bed for changing or sitting. You can be more comfortable together in the leather-covered seating area, which is made up of the two rotating front seats.

Thanks to the slide-out there is plenty of space available. In addition to a kitchen with a two-burner gas cooker (induction hob optional) and a refrigerator with a capacity of 70 liters, the Sprinter also has a bathroom with a shower and a dry-separating toilet.

The standard equipment also includes a diesel auxiliary heater, hot water circuit, 100 Ah battery, 160 watt solar system on the roof and much more.

Star Van will show the Rebel 4×4 for the first time at the CMT holiday trade fair in Stuttgart (January 13th to 21st). The vehicle will also be on display here with rear-wheel drive as a “cruiser”.
