Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, a catastrophic launch, Aspyr speaks awkwardly

During the last Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Aspyr Media unveiled Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, a compilation of cult action shooters which was released yesterday on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. The players were there, but the disappointment was great at launch.

Since then, more servers have become available, but the situation remains very problematic.

Aspyr Media has communicated on these problems, even if the studio remains evasive and avoids apologizing. Developers quote “critical errors with (their) network infrastructures”, resulting from“very high ping, matchmaking errors, crashes and servers not showing up”. The studio is working to correct all of this and improve the stability of their infrastructures, inviting players to report bugs and errors encountered during their sessions… if any players still want to endure this ordeal.
