Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: Release date and gameplay revealed

After a successful and community-loved Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, players were thrilled to hear that Respawn was working on a direct sequel, still featuring the character of Cal Kestis. After a few months of silence, and a small error on Steam giving us a hint on the release date, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor pulled out all the stops at the Game Awards ceremony.

A release date and gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Respawn actually took advantage of the beautiful showcase that is the Game Awards ceremony to reveal new images. In it, we see an older, more seasoned Cal Kestis, battling new creatures and other, even tougher foes. We also see the protagonist get closer to new characters, to continue his fight against the Empire while knowing the importance of being one of the last Jedi. As a bonus, several gameplay sequences, including fights, are presented. The Souls-like style of the first episode seems to be retained, unsurprisingly.

But this new video does not tell us that, since a release date has been shared. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is therefore scheduled to be released on Friday, March 17, 2023, on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. While EA and Respawn have been tight-lipped so far, no doubt communication will intensify over the coming weeks as we get closer to launch.
