Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords announced for Switch with imminent release

This night Star Wars Celebration 2022 was the occasion for Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts to unveil Star Wars Jedi: Survivorthe continuation of the adventures of Cal Kestis. But this is not the only video game announcement that has taken place. More discreetly, these are nintendo and Aspyr who shared a trailer of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, an obvious Switch port of the gameObsidian Entertainment.

The first KOTOR having already been ported to the console of Big N., this announcement is indeed nothing surprising. Thus, this Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is already dated June 8 on theeShop and will be sold for $14.99. A bundle of the two episodes will also be offered at the same time. In addition, know that it is possible to play it independently.

Five years after the events of the award-winning Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, the Sith Lords have driven the Jedi to the brink of extinction and are poised to crush the Old Republic. With the Jedi Order in ruins, the Republic’s only hope is an isolated Jedi, desperate to reconnect with the Force. As this Jedi, you will face the most serious decision in the galaxy: follow the light or succumb to the dark side…

What is interesting to note is the mention of a DLCs restored to come. Indeed, at the time, Obsidian had not had time to complete some content, left infinite in the game code. Fans have since created a mod on PC and it therefore seems that the owners of a Switch will be able to take advantage of it shortly. This obviously raises a lot of questions, but we won’t be long in having the answer with a release this close.

Aspyr Media is also working on a total remake for the PS5 and PCs of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which still remains very mysterious. If you want to relive some epics of yesteryear, Star Wars Jedi Knight Collection and Star Wars Racer & Commando Combo are on sale at Amazon for less than 30 euros.
