Star Wars: Samuel L. Jackson wants his Disney+ series! And you ?

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of “The Phantom Menace”, Samuel L. Jackson reiterated his desire to reprise the role of Jedi Mace Windu in a new “Star Wars” production.

What if, after Boba Fett, another iconic character from the Star Wars saga came back from the dead? This is in any case the wish expressed by Samuel L. Jackson, the iconic interpreter of Jedi Master Mace Windu, who appeared in the three prelogy films (Episodes I to III) directed by George Lucas.

On the occasion of a special issue of Empire magazine, the American actor expressed his wish to play the character again. But at present, Mace Windu is still considered dead after suffering Palpatine’s attacks and Anakin Skywalker’s betrayal at the end of the Revenge of the Sith film.

Presumed dead since Revenge of the Sith

His corpse was never shown on screen, so there is a remote possibility that the Jedi survived his injuries. And the idea of a return, like that of Boba Fett, cannot therefore be ruled out. It remains to be seen whether Disney will agree to bring the character back in a series and, if so, in what form.

Among the most powerful Jedi in the saga, Mace Windu was a member of the Jedi Council. Known for the color of his purple lightsaber, the latter is also remembered for having refused Anakin Skywalker the rank of Jedi Master, a decision at the origin of his switch to the dark side.

Remember that Mace Windu also appeared in numerous episodes of the animated series The Clone Wars. However, it was not Samuel L. Jackson who lent his voice to the character in the original version, but the actor Terrence C. Carson (Samuel L. Jackson, however, voiced the Jedi in the animated film The Clone Wars, which served introduction to the series).

All Star Wars productions can now be found exclusively on Disney+.
