We knew it was in the plans of Elon Musk, SpaceX presents Starlink Aviation. The promise is simple: a 350 Mbps high-speed internet connection with unlimited data for each aircraft in which it is installed.

“Starlink can provide up to 350 Mbps to each aircraft, allowing all passengers to access the Internet at the same time, even for streaming,” the Starlink team said in a press release. . Starlink said this aircraft service requires a “low-profile aerodynamic terminal” with “an electronically steered phased array antenna, which provides reliability, redundancy and performance.” The entire hardware will be sold for $150,000, not including installation: “Installation can be done by your current maintenance company or Starlink can recommend experienced and qualified installers,” reads on the Starlink website.
