Robert Redford has gone through many difficult times in his personal life, such as the divorce from his first wife or the death of his baby Scott just a few months after birth. Now the star is mourning his second son James, who died at the age of 58.

Throughout his life, James has been involved in numerous charitable causes, most notably the safety of firefighters who come into contact with carcinogenic substances in the course of their work. Now James himself died of cancer after a long illness – and is sorely missed not only by his father Robert, but also by his sisters Shauna and Amy Redford.
