Stefan Raab: He is producing a new late night show

New TV project for Stefan Raab: Instead of his regular channel ProSieben, he produces a late night show for the streaming service TVNow.

Entertainer Stefan Raab (53) is always good for a surprise. After the "Free European Song Contest 2020", he is back with another new TV project. Later this year, he will produce a new late night show exclusively for the TVNow streaming service, as announced by the RTL media group on Monday (July 20). With this, Raab surprisingly changes sides and cheats on its long-time regular channel ProSieben. It is his first production for RTL in his TV career.

"There is no point in complaining"

"I've been grumbling about other people's programs for 20 years. Now I've found that complaining is of no use, I have to help personally. And that's exactly what TVNow is for," explains Raab.

"In his long career as a pioneer and creative mind, Stefan Raab played a key role in shaping the entire German show landscape. That's why we are only too happy to offer him the playground where he can really let off steam. Even if he has already threatened to do all of this, what ideas he gets in his head (…) ", explains Henning Tewes, TVNow's co-managing director.

However, Stefan Raab will not lead the late night show himself. He will be responsible for the format as a producer behind the scenes. It is not yet known who will be the moderator. There is talk of "other surprising hands". There is not yet a specific broadcast date or further details.
