It’s becoming more and more absurd: After the mysterious announcement by Stefan Raab (57) on April 1, 2024 that he would organize another fight against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich (47), the so-called “advertising master” is now also getting involved. Niclas M. (18), who became a media and internet phenomenon in recent weeks thanks to a “Spiegel TV” report, posted via Instagram, among other things a surprisingly professional clip that could suggest a collaboration with Stefan Raab and his supposed comeback plans. Is Niclas M. just a copycat or a future Raab comrade-in-arms?

In the video, which was recorded with an identical look and feel including a drone overflight as the two Raab videos, Niclas M. cycles through a forest in his eye-catching high-visibility vest including high-visibility trousers and a typical bicycle and discovers a vehicle parked there. Of course, he immediately takes a photo of the car and also writes down the license plate in order to bring the parking offender to justice. What’s special: The car’s license plate starts with K for Cologne and continues with SR – maybe for Stefan Raab? The “advertising master” also garnished the video with the hashtag #Raab. A hint of cooperation between the two?

Is it all just a joke or are Stefan Raab’s real comeback plans?

Currently, only insiders know whether Stefan Raab’s rumored comeback plans are a really planned return of the entertainer to TV – or just an elaborate April Fool’s joke. The fact is that Raab last week posted a video on his official Instagram account, in which his former show intern Elton (53) wants to convince him of a comeback. Raab initially hesitates, but ultimately agrees to a deal: If he finds nine million Instagram followers within three days, he would do something.

But the plans were obviously far too ambitious from the start: Raab currently has almost three million followers. Nevertheless, he dropped the supposed bombshell on Easter Monday: On September 14th he will compete again against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich, by whom he has already been beaten twice in exhibition fights. Tickets for the “Final Fight” would be available from April 2nd at 3 p.m. By then it will be clear whether Stefan Raab is actually celebrating a comeback or whether it is just a joke.

What role Niclas M. plays in these plans is even more unclear than Raab’s entire campaign. The “advertising master” became known in recent months thanks to a contribution from “Spiegel TV” and then quickly developed into an internet phenomenon. Niclas M. makes it his mission to systematically report illegal parking to the police. In 2023 alone, M. filed more than 4,000 reports. His goal is to report at least one illegal parker in every German city.
