Stellantis: tentative agreement with UAW union

(CercleFinance.com) – The American automobile union United Auto Workers (UAW) announced on Monday that it had reached an agreement in principle with Stellantis, which should make it possible to lift the call for a strike affecting the Kokomo plant ( Indiana).

The draft agreement negotiated by the union organization must be submitted to the vote of the members of its local branch today.

Staff at the UAW-affiliated Kokomo site went on strike on Saturday to protest working conditions deemed ‘unacceptable’.

The union demanded, among other things, a repair of the site’s air conditioning system, the supply of clean uniforms, compliance with health and safety standards and the introduction of certain work rules.
