Storm depression Aurore in northern France: 250,000 households without electricity

According to the network operator Enedis, around 250,000 households in the north of the country were without electricity on Thursday. Around 3,000 Enedis technicians have been working in the affected regions since the morning to restore the supply.

“Aurore” had moved across northern France since Wednesday afternoon. Numerous trees fell, houses were covered, and train traffic was severely disrupted. In the particularly affected region of Normandy, rail traffic was completely stopped.
