Television host Stéphane Plaza has been placed under judicial supervision pending his trial this summer for violence against two former partners, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Friday, requested by AFP.
At the end of his police custody, the real estate agent, popularized by his various broadcasts on M6, was presented Thursday to a public prosecutor who gave him a summons for habitual physical and/or psychological violence by partner on two former companions.
A liberty and detention judge then placed him under judicial control, in accordance with the prosecutor’s orders.
As part of this measure, Stphane Plaza is prohibited from coming into contact with the victims and must receive treatment, which is usual in matters of domestic violence, the prosecution said.
The host was summoned on Tuesday to be heard in a free hearing at the Paris central police station, then placed in police custody.
In September 2023, Mediapart published testimonies from three former partners, who denounced humiliation, threats, verbal violence and, for two of them, physical violence.
An investigation was opened into domestic violence in October, after receiving letters from two of them alleging violence committed during their relationship, the prosecution indicated at the time.
The host firmly rejected these accusations, ensuring he had a clear conscience in December on his Instagram account.

Initially a real estate agent, Stphane Plaza became a star of the small screen when M6 propelled him in 2006 to the lead of the show Search for apartment or house then Maison Vente (2007) and Chasseurs d’appart’ (2015).
The chain’s boss Nicolas de Tavernost indicated that he would not take any sanctions against Stphane Plaza after an internal investigation revealed no information.
