Stranger Things: on Netflix, 1 billion hours spent watching season 4

Stranger Things returned for a fourth season. Composed of nine episodes, this American science fiction and horror television series tells the adventures of a band of nerds in the depths of Indiana, in Hawkins; there are many references to pop culture. And if the recipe hardly changes from one season to another — oh surprise! Eleven is back and saves everyone from monsters thanks to her powers and that of friendship – the success is undeniable, and even seems to be growing.

Stranger Things 4 is thus the second Netflix show to exceed one billion hours of viewing, after the famous Squid Game released in 2021. Since the first episode of the new season aired on May 27, viewers have spent a cumulative 1.15 billion hours watching all nine episodes, including 301 million hours last weekend for last two shutters released in staggered, July 1st. A start that could allow it to become the most viewed series on the platform, Squid Game having stopped at 1.65 billion hours viewed. Remember that the Netflix system measures the time spent on a series during the twenty-eight days following its release.

The popularity of season 4 of Stranger Things has also relaunched that of previous seasons, which are in the top 6 of the most watched television shows in the world, again according to figures provided by Netflix.
