Not feeling comfortable and accepted – content creator Jack Strify was only able to be who he really is in Berlin. Previously, he was laughed at for his make-up and hairstyling, but he was never intimidated by that. After his career as a front singer in the band “Cinema Bizarre” he is now in the spotlight on social media. In the new episode GLOSSIP, the GALA Beauty Podcast, the influencer talks to GALA’s Head of Beauty Nane Meyer about his absolute beauty must-haves, tips against a bad hair day and which values are really important to him.
Jack Strify was already putting on make-up in his school days, but quickly realized: He didn’t feel at home. The singer was drawn to Berlin, where he finally found like-minded people. The entertainer started a career away from the real-life stage and became a content creator in social media. The now 33-year-old describes himself in his Instagram biography as “Pop Culture Weirdo”. And that already appeals to around 45 thousand followers. They appreciate his LQBTQ and beauty topics and above all: that he gives himself the way he really is!

Noticing that you are somehow different and living out who you are requires a certain amount of courage. The Berliner by choice has been doing this for many years and shares his experiences with his followers. A healthy relationship with social media is still important to him. Does he sometimes take a break from the internet world?

Strify fought to be accepted with makeup. Nowadays he knows exactly what his favorite products are – and calls them us. Does he prefer to lend a hand himself, or does he have his eyelashes and nails done? After a lot of trial and error, he also found his “signature look” with his hair.
