Suicide Squad hackers play with characters that don’t exist

It’s getting worse and worse for video games Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Hackers have managed to unlock characters that are not supposed to be in the game.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will he get out of it? Everything is complicated for this video adaptation of the DC Comics universe, launched in February 2024.

Condemned to put on a good show by supplying an already deserted game, the developers must also deal with gifted hackers. As reported by IGN in an article published on April 5, individuals have managed to access new content, including a character that is not supposed to be (yet) playable.

On X (ex-Twitter) the content creator TrixRidiculous thus observed that Deathstrock was selected, even though he is not one of the playable characters in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. But a hacker managed to gain access by hacking the game. The image shared by TrixRidiculous in his message no longer appears, after an intervention by Warner Bros. to erase it. It showed the logo and the name of Deathstroke, which is shown in the screenshot below, retrieved via another Internet user.

Suicide Squad is the target of a massive hack

Hackers are obviously a big concern in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. They are accused of occupying the top of the rankings and discouraging others from starting a game. Questioned by Kotaku, TrixRidiculous indicates having “ posted three images on Twitter. In less than 30 minutes, I received a [requête légale DMCA] from Warner Bros. Games. Just say that online gaming is plagued by hackers and cheaters who still haven’t been banned since launch. »

TrixRidiculous points out the speed with which Warner Bros. removes all these elements demonstrating a difficult situation in the game. A speed which would therefore contrast with his laxity which he is criticized for regarding the basic problem. The publisher gives the impression of not prioritizing the revival of the title, focusing on the consequences, rather than the causes. His decisions are likely to further condemn a game with a now very murky future. This topic published on Reddit on March 31 is a symbol of this: after playing eight hours of the first season, an optimistic fan loses patience.

This phenomenon further underlines the waste that is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueyet developed by a talented studio to which we owe the excellent trilogy Batman: Arkham. The arrival of the Joker, with the launch of the first season on March 28, has not changed anything: despite the popularity of the villain, the traffic remains ridiculous. According to Steamcharts, the average number of players and players connected simultaneously doesn’t even exceed a thousand. It’s starving.
