First conflict not within a couple, but between competitors: Mario Basler gets into a fight with two men.
In the first episode of “Das Sommerhaus der Stars” on Wednesday on RTL, Mario Basler (53) still looked like the kind hostel father. In issue two on Sunday (also in the stream on RTL +), but the senior squadron extended his claws.
The kicker had two male competitors in particular on the Kieker. There is Stephen Dürr (48). Mario had stress with the “Unter Uns” actor on “Celebrity Big Brother” – although the actor can’t remember it at all. This time there is trouble because Stephen allegedly spread the word that Mario should stir up feelings against him. But the conflict is civil.
And then there is Marcel Dähne (28). The hyperactive Youtuber circles his “dad” Mario like a small, distanceless barker. Provokes, teases, plays up. It seems only a matter of time before the seemingly calm old alpha male Basler bites. “At some point my carotid artery will burst,” announced the ex-soccer player in a one-on-one interview.

But first, the couples have to talk to themselves. In the first game, the men have to answer questions about their partners and their relationship history. If the answer is wrong, the women, who are tied to a turnstile, have their heads dragged through a basin of disgusting broth. Mario misjudges the date of the first date by five years. He is only topped by Ismet Atli (51), called Isi. At the beginning of his relationship with Kader Loth (49), he miscalculated by six years.
Eric Sindermann (34) and Katharina “Katha” Hambuechen (27) are the best. You manage 32 out of 40 questions. The two of all people, one must say. The “sex chav” and the stock market analyst hadn’t only been a couple for five months during the shoot – they also constantly tore themselves apart in the first episode. The secret of success: Eric had previously memorized the facts and preferences of his Katha.
The victory in the pair game, which means protection against a selection for them, only welds them together for a short time. The constant argument goes on. “You destroy each other,” warns reality veteran Kader.

Game two is the ever-popular obstacle course through which the women must guide their men dressed as animals. They don’t see anything because of the funny costumes. The helmet was too tight for Mario Basler and he panicked. And had to pass before the start.
Stephen Dürr, costumed as a beaver, is by far the fastest, also thanks to good communication with his wife Katharina Dürr (39). Stephen is the first to land in the ball pit where the winning heart must be found. But he needs so long for that that the raccoon Sascha Mölders (37), who was last placed for a long time, becomes dangerous for him. All other men had previously thrown in the towel or animal head. But in the end Stephen gets the heart.
Stephen and Katharina of all people, one has to say here too. Because the Dürrs were on the hit list for most couples because of alleged snootiness. But now they are safe, just like Eric and Katha as well as Patrick Romer (26) and Antonia Hemmer (22). The “Bauer sucht Frau” couple won the game in the first episode.
So Mario Basler cannot nominate Stephen, so his choice is clear. He wants to eliminate Marcel, who is just too “freaky” for him. The clear majority of the other couples follow. For the overexcited Youtuber and his influencer friend Lisa Wienberger (24), this is the first couple to end.
