surprise, the sequel to this popular game is finally arriving on consoles

We have just learned that a certain very popular game from Ubisoft was probably going to come to consoles, putting an end to an exclusivity that has lasted for quite some time.

When we’re dealing with an exclusive, we always wonder if it will end up being released on another medium. Of course, on this topic, all eyes are currently on Xbox. But at the same time, we learned some juicy information. A Ubisoft production will perhaps come to consoles. This is the sequel to a title extremely appreciated by part of the community. Needless to say, this is good news.

This Ubisoft game will finally arrive on consoles

But then, who are we talking about? Our star of the day is Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, released in February 2023. You probably know its eldest, which was a big success. And there, we are not exaggerating, since on Steam, the first opus displays an average of “Extremely positive” for 21,247 evaluations (at the time of writing these lines). It’s just insane, and it gives you a clearer idea of the scope of the license. The problem is that its sequel hasn’t been made available everywhere.

Indeed, for the moment, it is a Netflix exclusive, resulting from a special partnership with Ubisoft. Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is therefore only available on mobiles, and you need a subscription to the SVOD platform to play it. So, it wasn’t to everyone’s taste. Especially for those who loved the first game. Fortunately, things are clearly about to change. At least, if we are to believe the Brazilian classification committee, which revealed information of the utmost importance.

We thus notice that he has classified a console port for the Ubisoft Montpellier game. As for the machines concerned, there are three that are mentioned: the PS4, the Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. The only problem in this story is that we don’t have a release date to remember. We will have to be patient, even if this still tells us that the process is speeding up. When in doubt, we will avoid getting carried away too quickly, but it looks very good for the continuation of Valiant Hearts.

A bright future for the publisher on the release side

If we take a look at Ubisoft’s upcoming projects, we can’t help but notice that its future looks bright. Be careful, you have to take what we say with a pinch of salt, since it comes to us from Tom Henderson (who remains a generally well-informed insider). For the moment, we know that the firm has two big cartridges planned for 2024: Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Red. However, for our man, 2025 and 2026 will also be two good years for the publisher. Below, you can find the complete list of the famous schedule that can be set up with the words of the company and Henderson. This is subject to change, so don’t rely on it 100%

  • Star Wars Outlaws – 2024
  • Assassin’s Creed Red: heading to feudal Japan to play samurai – second half 2024
  • AC Black Flag Remake (Project Obsidian) – 2025 / 2026
  • Assassin’s Creed Invictus: multiplayer by the For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege teams – 2025
  • AC Hexe: a solo title which will take place in Europe, in the 16th century, with a witch hunt – 2025 / 2026
  • Ghost Recon (Project Over): a new game during the Naiman War – 2025 / 2026
  • Far Cry 7 (Project Blackbird) – 2025 / 2026
