Four German siblings (18, 20, 22, 24) who were on a long-distance hike from Germany to Venice were surprised by the wet and cloudy weather, including ten centimeters of fresh snow. In Vals they finally reached their limits on Sunday around 11.50 a.m. at almost 3000 meters above sea level: when they reached the Alpeiner Scharte, the weather conditions were cold, windy and cloudy with sleet showers and around ten centimeters of fresh snow.
