SWAT returns to TF1: where were we in season 4?

While TF1 broadcasts from this evening the second part of the new season 4 of the detective series worn by Shemar Moore, where had we left the members of the special unit in Los Angeles at the end of the previous episodes?

Tonight at 9:05 p.m., TF1 resumes the broadcast of season 4 of SWAT, after having broadcast the first six episodes in March 2021. Being broadcast on the CBS channel in the United States at that time, TF1 had to interrupt at mid-season its programming, leaving the fate of the characters in suspense after a start to the season centered on the Black Lives Matter movement and the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Entitled “The kingdom of the blessed” and broadcast on April 6 on TF1, episode 6 saw the team of Hondo (Shemar Moore) confronted with the leader of a religious community using the credulity of its members to defraud them by forcing them begging in the street in exchange for a roof, and of which Chris (Lina Esco) tried to extract a teenage girl who was victim of it.

For his part, Hondo, concerned about the relationship that his young protégé Darryl (Deshae Frost) was developing with his father Daniel (Obba Babatundé) recently released from prison, received disturbing news. Victor Tan (David Lim), meanwhile, faced a glitch in the planning of his wedding.

In this seventh new episode, “The soldiers of fire”, the Hondo team investigates a fire brigade targeted by a sniper during an intervention. Following this attack, several punitive expeditions multiplied against the firefighters.

For members of the SWAT, a terrible fire that had occurred two years earlier, in which the fire brigade left victims to perish, would be at the origin of this revenge. But a growing rivalry between Chris, Tan and Street (Alex Russell) threatens the group’s balance, as Tan tries to make himself look good to his superiors even if it means putting himself in danger.

Finally, in episode 8 broadcast in the second part of the evening and entitled “Murderous Crusade”, Hondo and his colleagues question a man at the end of a chase after he killed the manager of a station. -service during a robbery, before saving the owner of a grocery store who suffered an arson from the flames at the last minute.

They then find out that these two attacks were orchestrated by a group of white supremacists, who are planning to stage more bombings … Meanwhile, Deacon (Jay Harrington) and his wife tear up over their daughter when his mother expresses her wish to enroll her in a private school.

While waiting to find season 4 of SWAT on TF1, you can review all of the first three seasons of the series on the streaming platform SALTO. Season 5 currently broadcast on CBS since October 2021 is still unseen in France.
