Hollywood is in shock: Superstar Alec Baldwin shot a camerawoman with a prop gun while shooting a film and seriously injured the director. The Graz actor Swen Temmel also witnessed the tragedy. He has been filming with the stars on site for three weeks – and was only a few meters away when the fatal shot was shot. The “Krone” spoke to him.
“My heart is broken,” wrote Alec Baldwin in the short message service Twitter after the terrible accident. The prop weapon was loaded with live ammunition, which the movie star may not have been aware of. The fatal consequences: cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died, director Joel Souza was seriously injured.
Part of the film crew is Swen Temmel from Graz, who has been working in Hollywood for several years and has already shot with Sylvester Stallone, among others. “Krone” reporter Sepp Pail reached the attractive Styrian, son of “Eiskönig” Charly Temmel, on Friday morning US local time.
“I was petrified”
“I was only ten meters away from the scene of the accident,” he says. “A shooting was filmed, and suddenly someone collapsed covered in blood. I was petrified. ”Because Temmel also knew camerawoman Hutchins very well in her private life. “It was like a nightmare. Alec Baldwin was completely shocked and collapsed on the set. “
On Friday Temmel flew back to his adopted home Los Angeles to come to terms with the nightmare.
