Synapse tells the story ahead of its July 4 release on PS VR2

Take a piece of the movie script Inceptionthe telekinesis of a Control, two comedians who have known each other well since the Metal Gear Solid years and you get Synapse. As this new trailer explains, Synapse actually takes place in the mind of Peter Conrad, a once-respected colonel now considered a public danger with demented ideas and whose threats are taken very seriously. The player embodies a soldier who will penetrate the subconscious of the renegade colonel, hence the presence of fierce defenses and unstable phenomena, not to mention the ability to use telekinesis to clear a path in addition to conventional weapons. A chance besides that the subconscious of a colonel is filled with crates to take advantage of telekinesis.

A game that makes money

The goal is to find something in the colonel’s mind to prevent the biological attack he intends to unleash on the world. Small bonus, the voice of the antagonist (who will speak directly to the player to challenge him) is none other than that of Solid Snake (before Metal Gear Solid V), namely David Hayter, who we will find from elsewhere with the period dialogues in the Snake Eater remake. Opposite, the operations manager who guides the player, Clara Sorensen, is played by Jennifer Hale, the voice of Naomi Hunter in the Konami saga, among many other roles. Synapse will be available on July 4 on PS VR2 for 35.99 euros (32.99 euros for PlayStation Plus subscribers).
