Taron Egerton suffered a collapse on the theater stage in March, and a little later he had Covid-19. Now he is replaced in “Cock”.

“Rocketman” and “Kingsman” star Taron Egerton (32) is no longer on the theater stage in London’s West End. In a statement on the official Instagram account of the play “Cock” it says that Egerton had to “retire for personal reasons”. Instead, Joel Harper-Jackson will take over his role. He had represented Egerton for the past ten days after he tested positive for the corona virus.

Taron Egerton after collapse: “I’m fine”

The “personal reasons” are not explained in more detail in the statement. Taron Egerton had already suffered a collapse on the theater stage at the premiere of “Cock” in early March. The event in the Ambassadors Theater then had to be ended early.

The star then spoke up in an Instagram story. “I’m absolutely fine,” said the 32-year-old. He only suffered minor injuries from the collapse: “I only have a sore neck and an affected ego, otherwise everything is fine.”
