45 departments are affected by the deadline for filing the income tax return. Hurry, you only have until tonight.

Not a very pleasant subject this morning at Clubic, but the reminder could perhaps save you a future penalty. Nearly fifty departments are now seeing the deadline for completing and validating their tax declaration online. So, if you wanted to take your time or you had zapped, now is the time to hurry.

Limit for income declaration: 45 departments concerned

As every year, the tax administration has cut France (including the overseas departments) into three. Thus, the departments numbered from 1 to 19 had until May 25 to complete or correct the precious document, and those numbered from 20 to 54 had until 1er June.

It is now the turn of departments no. 55 to 974/976. These 45 communities (among them, the Manche, the Moselle, the North, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Rhône, Paris, the Yvelines, the Var, but also Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion and Mayotte have up to to this Thursday, June 8, 2023 (11:59 p.m.) to comply.

Note that for the paper version, everyone was in the same boat: the deadline ran until Monday, May 22 before midnight.

A new correction window will open online in August

After this date, the period for issuing income tax notices, which should be available between July 26 and August 4 if all goes well, will then open.

Note that if you have made your tax return online, you can still correct it, but between August 2 and December 7, 2023. You only have to go through the impots.gouv.fr website, then click on “Access the online correction”. A new tax notice will then be issued, after the processing of the corrective declaration by the tax authorities.

The rectification of your declaration after the filing deadline will automatically lead to the publication of a new tax notice which will be sent to you after the usual deadlines. “, writes the Minister of the Economy. The rates and installments calculated at the end of the amended declaration filed after the deadline will only appear later.
