TCS advisor: You cannot rely on the automatic light function

Why can’t I rely on the “automatic” light function of my car in fog?
Ernst Meyer, Rüti ZH

Anyone who can only see enough with daytime running lights despite poor visibility – for example in rain, snow or fog – must not forget that most cars are not illuminated at the rear in this condition. It is therefore important that in dubious lighting conditions you always drive with dipped headlights instead of just daytime running lights.
