“Better without hormones”

Migraines have been a close friend since I was a teenager. She stopped by at regular intervals and left me helpless in the darkened room until she eventually moved on – to return very soon. I tried everything possible: having my eyes and brain examined, changing my diet and taking copious amounts of painkillers. But it wasn’t until I stopped taking the pill that the constant attacks stopped. Fortunately, even now, during menopause, the migraines have not returned.

“Intermittent fasting”

As often as possible, I try to take longer breaks from eating and not eat anything after 6 p.m. – so that the intestinal bacteria can take a breather, which is good for the immune system. I started this three years ago; first consistently, now mostly according to mood, about four times a week. Conclusion: Sometimes it’s annoying because I actually like snacking and love TV meals. But it’s really good for my system and breakfast becomes a little feast.

“Don’t skimp on sleep”

It seems so simple, but in everyday life it is always difficult to actually get enough sleep. After all, in addition to our job, hobbies and family responsibilities, we would like to do so many other things! I skimped on sleep for a long time – and was usually overtired and in a bad mood in the morning. Now I make sure to always go to bed on time and get at least seven hours of sleep. Since then I have felt fitter, more alert and significantly more energetic. Small adjustment screw, big effect!

“I just say: turmeric”

Grate 20 grams each of organic turmeric and ginger, mix with the juice of three lemons and two oranges (also organic), add some pepper and a dash of linseed oil, puree if necessary, fill into a bottle and put in the fridge! Since I started taking a small ginger turmeric shot every morning, I actually haven’t been sick anymore – and save a lot of money compared to expensive ready-made drinks. Please don’t forget to wear rubber gloves when chopping, turmeric simply colors everything.
