Tease-prone Fable shows up in cinematic video for the first time

It won’t take long to confirm the most pressing rumors about a new announcement for Fable during the evening, since Microsoft simply made the decision to drop the ballast in the introduction of this new presentation of the future of games planned for Xbox and PC. Unfortunately (this also seems to be a constant during this Summer Game Fest 2023), the return of Fable on the front of the stage will only have taken the form of a cinematic video, even if gameplay seems to be visible at the end of the trailer (this remains to be confirmed). This video will nevertheless have had the merit of highlighting a universe combining both little teasing phrases and bombastic moments, a mixture that is ultimately quite unifying and above all unique to the license. Special mention to Dave, the narrator of this trailer camped by Richard Ayoade, who seems to have eaten too many carrots in his youth.

Honey, I shrunk the Fable

This reboot of the series originally worn by the late Lionhead has thus become more eloquent, even if it does not hinder many questions: in the potential absence of a gameplay sequence, it remains impossible to get a concrete idea of ins and outs of the title at present. Especially since, and this is where the shoe pinches; no date or range was announced on this occasion. One piece of information, however, which is also recurrent to all the games presented during this global presentation of titles to come from Xbox: Fable will be accessible on the Game Pass from the day of its release.
