Teddy Riner retains his first place as favorite sportsman of the French

THE SPORT SCAN – 8e Favorite personality of the French, the judoka remains on his throne in the sports category ahead of Zinédine Zidane.

Even if he could not keep his individual Olympic title in Tokyo (bronze medal but gold won by teams), Teddy Riner remains the darling of the French among athletes. The judoka points to 8e place in the annual ranking of the favorite personalities of the French, as last year.

A rank which allows him to be the only athlete present in the Top 10 dominated by the irremovable Jean-Jacques Goldman preceding the astronaut Thomas Pesquet and the actor Omar Sy.

Behind, Riner, you have to go down 9 ranks to find the trace of another champion who is no longer active. Zinédine Zidane, currently without a club since leaving Real Madrid, is at 17e rank. “Zizou”, who lost five places, is ahead of Kylian Mbappé (19e) while his friend with the Blues, Antoine Griezmann invites himself to the 25e rank.
