In Tekken 8, Heihachi’s successor Reina is also playable. We’ll tell you the details about their origins and their dual fighting style.
- A new trailer has been released for Tekken 8, revealing Reina.
- She is presumably a secret illegitimate third child of Heihachi.
- She uses techniques from the Mishima karate style and Taido.
An exclusive event for Tekken 8 took place on November 12th. There was, among other things, a “show match” of the past Tekken 7 EVO Champions and a “Tekken Talk”.
In addition, Bandai Namco also revealed the game’s 32nd and final character. In addition to the new addition Victor Chevalier, the brand new character Reina awaits you.
Origin
According to a past leak, she is a secret illegitimate third child of Heihachi, who has the same movesets and stances. As the official Playstation blog page reveals, she was said to have been planned during the development phase of Tekken 7 and now plays a central role in the story of Tekken 8.
Sony describes her appearance as fashionable and charming, although she exudes a charismatic sense of evil. This dichotomy is intended to emphasize the duality of her character in both personality and fighting style.
Dual fighting style
Reina combines the acrobatic techniques of Taido, including quick attacks such as knife hand strikes and eye stabs, with special movements such as Sentai and Unsoku. These techniques allow her to combine powerful punches with nimble footwork.
The other side of her dual fighting style is the Mishima karate style, in which she has acquired techniques such as “Wind God Fist” or “Spinning Demon”, which she combines with powerful movements from the “Heavens Wrath” stance.
