Telekom down: Customers report connection problems

Update on the disruption on January 10th at 10:56 a.m

In response to our inquiry, Telekom confirmed a current disruption in the Cologne area. MagentaZuhause regional connections are particularly affected. In addition, a solution is already being worked on, which is why customers should soon be able to access their Internet and telephone connections as usual.

Since around 9 a.m. on January 10th, Telekom has been experiencing increasing disruptions. Customers tell us via our fault report that they are having problems with their internet connection. Some users may also have difficulties with their Magenta SmartHome and their telephone connection.

Yesterday on January 11th there was a connection problem with the provider, which we reported on. The reason for the disruption in Mönchengladbach yesterday was probably a cable that was damaged during civil engineering work and has since been repaired.
