The Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne, announces this Thursday on LCI “The possibility for the labor inspectorate to pronounce sanctions of up to 1,000 euros per employee” for companies that do not respect the rules of teleworking, “Within the limit of 50,000 euros” by company. An amendment to the bill on the vaccine pass will be tabled by the end of the week, specifies his entourage.

“I want a faster and therefore more dissuasive system by allowing the labor inspectorate to be able to pronounce sanctions without waiting for the legal procedure”, detailed the minister. Until now, employers have only been targeted by civil and criminal penalties.

Three or four days a week

As the omicron variant progresses, telecommuting is expected to gain momentum in businesses after the holidays. According to the minister, “Most companies play the game very well” teleworking.
