“Temporary Arrest” – Father Killed? Suspect now in prison

The 28-year-old Tyrolean who is suspected of having killed her father (57) with a knife in Neustift in the Stubai Valley on Saturday was brought to the Innsbruck prison on Tuesday. The woman was still unable to provide information on the course of events.

The court decided on a “provisional stop”, said public prosecutor’s spokesman Hansjörg Mayr on APA request. This means a “counterpart to pre-trial detention”, which is imposed if someone cannot be brought into pre-trial detention due to his or her psychological condition. Her father was found in his apartment on Saturday with numerous cuts and stab wounds. The daughter is likely to have visited the 57-year-old on her own initiative, and a dispute is likely to have escalated. What is certain is that the woman herself called the control center at around 5 p.m. and said: “Something bad happened”. A kitchen knife was found at the crime scene as a likely weapon. The 28-year-old had cuts on her hands.
