There are two test options: 59 euros for a result within 6 to 8 hours and 139 euros for a result within 3 hours. The traveler must bear the costs.

An appointment is not necessary, but you have to register online in advance and pay for the smear.

The smear center is centrally located in the transition between Terminal 1 and the long-distance train station (The Squaire).

Covid 19 tests at Munich Airport: Free for all returning travelers

At Munich Airport, the Corona Test is free for all return travelers. Departing passengers can have themselves tested for a fee of EUR 190 (plus a weekend and night surcharge if necessary). Medicare, a subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH, offers corresponding tests.

The PCR test is carried out in the form of a throat swab. The report will be sent in German and English by email. A positive test result is reported to the health department.

Corona tests at Düsseldorf Airport: Free for returning travelers from high-risk areas

The smears go directly to the laboratory at least four times a day. The test result is usually available online within three days.

Holidaymakers can also be tested on Sars-Cov-2 at Cologne / Bonn Airport. The test is free of charge for those returning from risk areas published by the Robert Koch Institute. For everyone else, it costs 90 euros.

The test station is located between the remote bus terminal (P32) and Terminal 2. The test center at the airport is staffed around the clock. The test result is usually available within 24 hours. Until the test result is available, returning travelers from risk areas must go to home quarantine.
