(CercleFinance.com) – On the occasion of the state visit to France this week by the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, Thales Alenia Space announces the signing of an agreement to build a Mongolian national satellite telecommunications system.
The group will be responsible for building a very high-performance Ku-band satellite, called Chinggis Sat, which will provide high-speed internet connectivity throughout the country, including in rural white areas and for the benefit of nomadic populations.
“It will provide easier and expanded access to services such as telemedicine, online training and the dematerialization of public services, and will support the growth of high value-added sectors of the national economy,” he specifies.
