(CercleFinance.com) – Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%) announces the signing of a contract with ArianeGroup for the production of the telemetry transmitter for Ariane 6.
Initially, this contract will cover until the 15th launch of a program which is to extend over 30 years.
It will be a question of delivering 30 pieces of equipment by autumn 2025, and thus making it possible to prepare the ramp-up for the operating phase.
The main function of the two telemetry transmitters is to transfer to the ground the data emitted by the launcher throughout the duration of the launch mission and thus to carry out the analyzes after each flight.
This 30W transmitter presented as ‘extremely efficient’, was entirely designed and produced by Thales Alenia Space in Spain, thus creating the possibility of a product line of space digital transmitters.
