Thanks to these homemade treatments, your feet will be very soft!

Our feet often come last in our beauty routine and can even be forgotten. However, it is essential to take care of it from an aesthetic point of view but above all to prevent possible diseases. Here are several homemade recipes to pamper your little feet!

Our feet support the weight of our whole body, allow us to walk or run and are also connected to all of our organs with nearly 7,200 nerve endings. However, they are often neglected or even forgotten during our beauty routine. Often locked in more or less comfortable shoes, our feet are subject to many challenges that can damage them and make them dry. Regular examinations and pampering are essential to keep them healthy. This includes exfoliation and especially daily hydration.

What treatments to exfoliate your dry feet?

At first, exfoliation of the feet about once or twice a week is very important to restore their softness. The scrub eliminates dead skin, softens the skin and therefore, avoid the formation of calluses.

You can exfoliate your feet using a pumice stone (Pumice stone rape, € 10.90, Yves Rocher) that we will use on wet skin or with Epsom salt (Epsom salt, € 7.90, Waam Cosmetics) with relaxing, detoxifying and purifying virtues. Before the exfoliation, a foot bath is carried out by adding about half a glass of Epsom salt in a basin of lukewarm water. It is also possible to replace the salt with another excellent exfoliant and powerful anti-odor, baking soda.
A few drops of lavender essential oil are incorporated (organic fine lavender essential oil, € 6.90, Ladrôme available on Onatera) for its soothing benefits. Soak your feet for about fifteen minutes to soften the skin.

For exfoliation, you can concoct a homemade scrub using a handful of Epsom salt or baking soda mixed with a little water or vegetable oil. We recommend those of coconut, avocado or even olive which are particularly sweet and nourishing. You massage your feet for several minutes, paying particular attention to the heels and dry areas, not to mention the toes. Rinse then dry by patting gently with a soft towel before moving on to the hydration step.

How to deeply hydrate your dry feet?

Hydration of the skin is essential to protect it from external aggressions. Just like our face or our body, our feet need to be hydrated daily. The epidermis is thicker at the level of the soles of the feet because our little feet are put to the test, in particular because of the friction of the shoes or quite simply of walking. The protective skin barrier is then damaged, which dries out the skin. It thickens and hardens, which can then create corns and calluses, sometimes painful. It is therefore essential to take care of your feet and hydrate them every evening, paying particular attention to the driest areas such as the heels.

According to your needs and desires, you can create tailor-made moisturizers at home. Here are some cream recipes for very soft feet!
