Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, is not even 30 years old and can already look back on a successful career – and he is still the brightest star in the football sky.
Patrick Mahomes was born with sporting talent
Patrick Mahomes was born on September 17, 1995 in the US state of Texas as the son of Randi and Pat Mahomes, 53. His father was a professional baseball player at the time. During his school years, Patrick’s athletic talent quickly became apparent; he played basketball, football and, like dad Pat, baseball. But he achieved his greatest successes as quarterback of his high school team. Playing a variety of sports helped make him a first-class football player, his high school coach Adam Cook once told Yahoo Sports.

Achievements and honors in his young career
In college, Patrick Mahomes then played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2014 to 2016 and shone with 12,097 yards and 115 touchdowns. A year later, he announced that he would register for the NFL draft, in which professional league clubs acquire rights to available amateur and youth players. As a result, he initially became the Kansas City Chiefs’ backup quarterback before becoming the team’s starting quarterback in 2018. A position that he continues to successfully fulfill to this day.

It’s not without reason that his right arm is compared to a rocket in the reports: Mahomes’ fastest pass was measured at 62 miles per hour (approx. 99.7 km/h). With his speed and his ability to complete sensational plays seemingly out of nowhere, he has already proven himself in his first five years in the NFL established as a legendary player. In 2020, Patrick Mahomes finally celebrated an incredible triumph: At the Super Bowl, he and his team won against the San Francisco 49ers – ending a 50-year drought for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has also been voted Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, the most valuable player of the season.
Now the 28-year-old is back in the finals and will do everything he can to sweep the 49ers off the field again. As always, he will receive emotional support from his wife Brittany, 28.

Patrick Mahomes has long since found his true love
Patrick and Brittany met and fell in love when they were teenagers – they are real high school sweethearts! What they have in common is their love of sports: While Patrick developed into a gifted quarterback at Texas Tech, Brittany played football at the University of Texas in Tyler. She also managed to make the jump to the professional league; she was under contract with the Icelandic club Afturelding/Fram for a year and became champions in 2017. However, after her lover signed with the Chiefs, she returned to the USA. The 27-year-old now runs her own business called Brittany Lynne Fitness and is co-owner of the Kansas City Current soccer club.
Even though Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were separated during college, their love has only grown stronger. They have now been in a relationship for over ten years. On March 13, 2022, the two celebrated their dream wedding in Hawaii. Their first child together was born at the end of February 2021: daughter Sterling, 2. In November, son Patrick III, known as Bronze, crowned their happiness in love.
It remains to be seen whether Brittany Mahomes will be in the stands again with Taylor Swift, 34, Travis Kelce’s partner, at this game. One thing is certain: Brittany will cheer for Patrick Mahomes with all her heart and soul – because she is his biggest cheerleader.
