This Thursday, January 13, L’Agence: luxury family real estate is making a comeback on TMC. But by the way: how was this family selected? Response from producers.
Sandrine, Olivier, Martin, Valentin and Louis return to service on TMC. This Thursday, January 13, the TF1 group channel draws the second season of its documentary series The Agency: luxury family real estate, which, as its name suggests, follows a family of real estate agents who only offer their clients – including Luana Belmondo and Linda Hardy, for example – exceptional properties. A program that could be described as anti-Plaza goods are so inaccessible to ordinary mortals. Budget for the apartments and houses (even mansions and castles) offered? Several million euros. Which is far from putting off viewers. “It’s even the opposite. It’s a show that makes you dream more than it arouses jealousy“, assures us one of the producers, Jean-Paul Geronimi. And the producer Lauriane Chouraqui to explain to us: “Apart from reports like in 50 minutes Inside, there was no program dedicated to luxury real estate, we found it interesting to push the doors of goods to which one does not usually have access“.
But this is not the only element that makes the success of this program. There is also theimmersion in this family “with which we identify a lot”. But how did TMC find her? She is a Reservoir Prod investigator who “fell on them“as he researches while preparing this broadcast project.”Quite quickly, we fell in love with this family“, confides Lauriane Chouraqui, who specifies that they then spent a lot of time with them, before shooting”a trailer to show and inspire the broadcaster“. The five real estate agents were quickly convinced by this concept. “They thought it was a great adventure“. No question, however, of letting yourself be filmed daily. “We don’t film all of their lives. We always talk about it before filming a family meal or a more personal event. We agree. We build the program together so that it does not interfere too much in their family life“, details the producer.
Are some family scenes scripted?
And in no case these family moments are scripted. When there are arguments between the brothers, for example, they are real, and not overplayed. “We could even have a lot more“, laughs Jean-Paul Geronimi, specifying that they “often fall out and reconcile. That’s also professional life as a family, so that’s what we show to viewers. They all have their own personality, their sensitivities and they have to work together so yes, there is regular friction“. So, inevitably, the filming extends over many months in order to “to be grounded in the reality of both their professional life and their private life“, concludes the producer. The key to success.
