For Apple, the new Vision Pro helmet could be heavy to carry. So he will offer you an accessory… paying obviously!

The new augmented reality headset presented earlier this month by Apple showed that the firm with the bitten apple still had exceptional technological capabilities. But the future marketing of this little gem will also remind us of another constant with the American brand: the (very) expensive nature of its products.

3,500 dollars, and a strap to pay

Since June 6, we have heard a lot about the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality headset, and in particular its price, which has caused a lot of reaction. It must be said that paying nearly $3,500 for a helmet constitutes a notable barrier to the democratization of this product and its technology.

Evidence that did not really strike Apple, since instead of thinking about quickly lowering costs, the Cupertino company could instead offer the consumer to… pay more. Thus, considering that the Vision Pro’s own glass and aluminum alloy could be heavy to wear, Apple will, according to Mark Gurman’s newsletter power-on, offer an additional retaining strap. A strap to pay obviously!

To other accessories to finance?

And that wouldn’t be the only accessory to potentially add to the price of the Vision Pro. Indeed, it was noticed that the base headband of the helmet had a letter characterizing its size. Thus, it may well be that there are several headbands of different sizes, intended to best adapt to the shape of the skull of each possessor. A headband more suited to the owner, who could also be paying.

Finally, the Vision Pro has a fairly low autonomy, the battery accompanying the helmet of 6,500 milliamperes-hour offering hardly more than two hours of leisure. Apple could easily offer larger external batteries, offering six hours or even ten hours of autonomy, which it could once again charge for. Suffice to say that Vision Pro fans can expect to have to pay a nice sum when it comes out next year.
