At 22, swimmer Théo Curin has plans full of plans, and that of starting a family could well be part of his desires for the future.
Swimmer, model, actor… and soon to be a dad? For several weeks, Théo Curin has not stopped multiplying television appearances. Between his participation in the special celebrity season of Beijing Express and on the show Fort Boyard, the swimmer won the hearts of the public, and not only. Indeed, on his Instagram account, the 22-year-old quadri-amputee recently shared a photo of the one who shares his life.
On a snapshot captured in front of the castle of Disneyland Paris, the double vice-world swimming champion is alongside his girlfriend. The opportunity for some to wonder how Théo Curin envisages the rest of his private life. In an interview given to Here ishe had mentioned his ambitions family. “In a few years, I can see myself starting a family, having two or three children”, he replied. But before that, the swimmer has other goals.
The unstoppable Théo Curin
In addition to his two silver medals at the World Swimming Championships in Tokyo in the 100 meters and 200 meters freestyle, Théo Curin also stood out during his challenge on Lake Titicaca. In November 2021, he crossed the 10°C body of water between Peru and Bolivia in eleven days. “A completely crazy moment”, according to the athlete. “We really had a hard time doing this expedition because we had very harsh weather conditions and we almost died several times”, he explained in The Question Box on Canal +. A particularly trying challenge which does not prevent him from aiming even higher by wishing to participate in the Santa Fe-Coronda aquatic marathon in Argentina. A test of 57 kilometers which he hopes to cover, and thus become the first disabled athlete to take up this challenge.
