While the ninth season of The best bakery in France is in full swing on M6, the production made a surprising choice which made viewers react strongly. The emission of Norbert Tarayre and Bruno Cormerais is singled out.
A controversial decision. While on average more than two million people turn on their TV every evening on M6 to follow the adventures of Norbert Tarayre and Bruno Cormerais in the program The best bakery in France, this ninth season raises questions. The reason ? The two baker-presenters sometimes go outside France to meet craftsmen. A production decision that apparently does not please everyone.
This is how Matthieu Bayle, the director of Endemol programs, a production company that produces The best bakery in France, had to explain himself: “We know that the heritage of baking in France is unlimited, yet we needed to open the borders and take an interest in expatriates in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Belgium. It’s very atypical and interesting to find these bakers who defend our heritage elsewhere”. Words that were supported by Norbert Tarayre. “We have seen that the French bakery adapts to the food requirements and needs of each country. In Spain, it is the industrial industry that dominates. The baker we met there brought his artisanal values to Barcelona with French baguettes that work very well“.
Internet users furious with the itinerary of Norbert Tarayre and Bruno Cormerais
The itinerary of the two bakers disturbs some of the French fans. Many comments have poured in on social networks, here are some of them: “The program The best bakery in France, this year, they are going to Spain, Italy and Switzerland… Did we have the same Geo teachers?”, “The best bakery in France but they look in Switzerland and Italy, look for the error“, “Best bakery in France and how are things in Spain and Italy?! “, “The info of the evening to remember: Spain is part of Occitania. Soon on your screens Italy representing the PACA region”, “Might as well make the best bakery in Europe. When we say in France, we stay in France”. To see if the experience will start again next season.
