Little Émile has been wanted since July 2023

Despite the major means deployed and the hunts organized to find Émile, he remained untraceable for months, until this weekend. His parents also made numerous calls in the media. The research was particularly hampered by contradictory testimoniestwo people saying they saw Émile in two different places for the last time.

The investigation opened for disturbing disappearance, then for kidnapping and sequestration, had ended up stagnating. Over the months, several hypotheses had been raised, such as that of a road accident caused by two workers carrying out masonry work or by a young teenager driving at high speed with his tractor. The past of Émile’s family, in particular his grandfather, a traditionalist Catholic, had also fueled rumors.

Analyzes of the bones continue

During the scenario, Thursday March 28, 17 people (including the little boy’s family, neighbors and visual witnesses) were summoned. Two other people were fined for trying to cross the area demarcated by the gendarmes for the reconstitution.

If we now know that Émile had a tragic end, it remains to be determined the circumstances of his death. In his press release, the prosecutor also announces that “the IRCGN continues forensic analyzes on the bones. The national gendarmerie will “deploy means to undertake additional research on the geographical area where they were found”.
