On TikTok, trends created by teens come and go, and the challenges multiply week by week. The latest? The “Chapstick Challenge”, a challenge that takes place as a duo. One of the two people must close their eyes, while the other coats their lips with fragrant balm. So the blindfolded person has to guess which perfume was used. Nothing to worry about beforehand, except that the challenge has several variations.
Disturbing variations
Some users have decided to add some rules to this new challenge. Except that they turn out to be dangerous, and push users to harm themselves. For example, if the blindfolded person cannot guess which perfume was used, then they must injure themselves, and use the lipstick to cover the wound. Another rule, more radical, invites Internet users to use the balm day after day. Once the product is finished, these people are driven to suicide.
Many users warn against this practice. They challenge the youngest so that they stop hurting themselves, and above all, to prevent them from ending their day. This is why, in recent days, many voices are being raised to invite TikTokers not to take part in this challenge, which already has more than 30 million views.
