the choice of his son’s very original first name, inspired by a comic strip

Do you know the original first name of Jean-Paul Rouve’s son? This is a reference to an illustrious comic strip. We reveal everything to you.

This Friday, January 26, Jean-Paul Rouve celebrates his 57th birthday. The opportunity to look back on the private life of the actor. And there isn’t much to say since Jean-Paul Rouve is very discreet! In 2007, the actor became the father of a little boy, fruit of his past love with the novelist Bénédicte Martin. And in 2021, the actor indulged in rare confidences about his son. At least on the choice of his first name. Indeed, during his visit to the set of C to you on France 5, the one who plays the writer Gabriel Matzneff in the poignant film The consenthad revealed the origin of his first name.

As a reminder, his only son, now aged 16 years old responds to the first name of Clotaire. An original first name rarely attributed in France. In 2022, only 8 boys have been baptized Clotaire. Of Germanic origin, Clotaire comes from the word “hari” and means “glory, power”. This is an old first name since the first known Clotaire is Clotaire I, the king of the Franks who died in 497 AD. And if you are familiar with the work of René Goscinny, this name probably means something to you.
