A macabre discovery. While walking on the edges of a road in the town of Albias in the Tarn, a couple witnessed a scene worthy of horror films. A corpse, decapitated, left abandoned revealed our colleagues from La Dépêche du Midi. This Saturday, December 25, the head of the latter was found “a hundred meters from the scene in a plastic bag”, explained Mrs. Gaullier, the interim public prosecutor of Montauban. Obviously, a criminal investigation has been opened to solve the mystery. Shortly after the discovery of the corpse and the head, the body was identified.
This is a 31-year-old man who was already known to the police. “for traffic offenses and acts of theft”, according to France Blue Albias. The profile of the victim therefore leads investigators to believe that it is a heinous crime. According to the results of the first analyzes of the forensic scientist, the murderer was shown to be incredibly violent. Numerous “stab wounds in the thorax and back” were detected on the victim’s body. The “post mortem body mutilation” could also be considered, but it will not be confirmed until after an autopsy.
The hypothesis of a heinous crime
The head was not the only limb amputated. Two severed forearms were indeed found later in the evening, not far from the body. So far, the perpetrator of this terrible act has not been identified but the heinous crime is the main lead for investigators at this stage. It could be a settling of scores or retaliation. According to a witness contacted by our colleagues from BFMTV, the perimeter was immediately secured on the outskirts of the departmental road 65 when the firefighters and then the police arrived.
