The coveted props from the Netflix series “The Crown” went under the hammer in London. That’s how much the objects brought in.

As announced, the London auction house Bonhams auctioned off numerous props, costumes and sets from six seasons of “The Crown” on February 7, 2024. The objects from the successful Netflix series raised several hundred thousand pounds, as can be seen from the website.

£70,000 for Diana’s Jaguar

The replica of the “Gold State Coach”, the coronation carriage of the British kings, brought in around 56,000 pounds (around 66,000 euros). Almost 26,000 pounds (around 30,000 euros) were offered for the replica of the coronation chair, 70,000 pounds (around 82,000 euros) were raised for Diana’s (played by Emma Corrin, 28 and Elizabeth Debicki, 33) green jaguar – the highest proceeds of the auction.

Her replica engagement ring went under the hammer for around £7,700. Several costumes were also auctioned, including the coronation dress of the Queen, played by Claire Foy (39), Olivia Colman (50) and Imelda Staunton (68), for 19,200 pounds (around 22,500 euros). Diana’s famous “revenge dress” fetched 12,800 pounds (about 15,000 euros).

The online part of the auction runs until this Thursday. A total of 450 objects are available for selection at the auction. The proceeds will go to a scholarship program for filmmakers.
