The return of a cult horror saga
This new installment of the horror franchise The curse (The Omen in VO) presents itself as a prequel, and promises to tell the origins of the evil which affected the famous Damien.
The Curse: the origin tells the story of a young American woman sent to Rome, who finds herself confronted with dark forces that lead her to question her own faith and unveil a terrifying conspiracy that intends to give birth to the incarnation difficulty.

The film is directed by the relatively unknown Arkasha Stevenson (Legion, Brand New Cherry Flavor), and written by Stevenson, Tim Smith (Channel Zero) and Keith Thomas (Firestarter, The Vigil).
The main role is played by actress Nell Tiger Free, seen in Servant And Game Of Throneshelped by a cast of sympathetic supporting roles: Bill Nighy, Ralph Ineson, Charles Dance…

The Exorcist, The Nun, The Witch… The horror genre has repeatedly shown its attraction to the religious domain, and the secrets of the Christian faith. This sixth film in the franchise The curse seems to fully embrace these esoteric themes, conducive to fear.
If the first opus The curse, released in 1976 has achieved cult film status over the years, its three sequels in 1978, 1981 and 2006 were critical failures, while performing poorly at the box office. There is no doubt that 20th Century Studios hopes to restore the image of the franchise with this film.
