Ä – what did Saxony-Anhalt's Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff mean by that? The question has been asked by countless people on Twitter since last Thursday after the CDU politician just this one letter via tweet had given away. He got more than 15,000 hearts for his tweet – and plenty of comments full of speculation and ridicule, which Haseloff is probably tweeting about. The short message was even more cryptic than the world-famous one "covfefe" tweet from former US President Donald Trump.

But unlike the US-American, Haseloff himself solved the riddle of his "Ä" message: "What a randomly sent individual letter generates interesting reactions," Haseloff commented on his mysterious letter – it should have been a mishap the "culprit" his ear: Accordingly, the Prime Minister is said to have just been writing a tweet when his phone rang. The app stayed open during the conversation and so his ear accidentally typed the letter "Ä" into the field and published the whole thing. The tweet is by far the most successful of the CDU politician, but whether it is from or from "covfefe" mugs and t-shirts to buy there? It might have had to be a few more letters for that.
