What is entertainment television allowed to do and where are its limits? Did Joko Winterscheidt cross this line in "The Duel Around the World"?

Joko Winterscheidt (42, "The G stands for Gurki") and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (37, "Late Night Berlin") are now famous and notorious for crossing borders on their ProSieben shows. But when is a line finally crossed and a task no longer funny or useful for the media? In the latest episode of "The Duel Around the World – Team Joko versus Team Klaas" this limit could now have been exceeded. At least there is resentment on the internet. On Friday evening it was shown how Winterscheidt sent his colleague Micky Beisenherz (43, "To the dream couple in 30 days") to Latvia so that he should master a questionable task there.

Beisenherz should have a piece of meat cut out of his back and then eat it himself – garnished with a chilli pepper and fried. But the author and moderator Beisenherz refused to let that happen to him and refused to do the job. "At least that way I kept my dignity. One shouldn't give up dignity, morals and integrity just because one is standing in front of a television camera. The Rubicon has been crossed here," commented his decision.

His criticism was also clearly in the direction of Winterscheidt: "That would be stupid and irresponsible to myself, let alone show it on television. What was Joko thinking? Is that his idea of modern television?" Some harsh criticism also gathered on Twitter: The action was tasteless and ill. Incidentally, Joko was also awarded a "dishonorable medal" for this campaign during the show.
