Warning, spoilers. It is recommended to have seen the Star Wars: Ashoka series before continuing reading this article.

Maligned at the time of the prequel, this iconic actor in the Star Wars saga is now making a comeback and regaining a special place in the hearts of fans thanks to the live-action series on Disney+.

It must be said that he plays the cult character of the Star Wars universe, namely Anakin Skywalker, the one who would later become Darth Vader, one of cinema’s greatest villains. His return is crowned with success and expressions of love from fans.

Indeed, Hayden Christensen is now acclaimed by the community of Star Wars aficionados, as evidenced by the numerous posts and multiple videos on social networks.

Hayden Christensen’s message to Star Wars fans

The actor first made a resounding return as Darth Vader – but also Anakin with the help of digital rejuvenation in flashbacks – in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which marked the moving reunion between Hayden and Ewan McGregor.

If this series was a mixed success – it has not obtained a season 2 for the moment – it nevertheless allowed Hayden Christensen to reconnect with Stars Wars fans and to prove, if necessary, that he still wields his lightsaber just as well, and especially since he has the build to oscillate between Anakin and Darth Vader.

But it was the Ahsoka series, centered on Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), which definitively convinced Star Wars fans about the beneficial return of Hayden Christensen to the universe.

Present in 4 out of 8 episodes, the actor managed to arouse strong emotions among fans, even when it was only an appearance of a few seconds.

It is especially episode 5, entitled “The Shadow Warrior” and directed by Dave Filoni, which delighted fans because it marks a long reunion between Ahsoka and her former Master Anakin Skywalker, with major flashbacks .

Faced with this outpouring of love, Hayden Christensen took advantage of a promotional video to look back on his return to the Star Wars universe but above all to thank the fans, who mean a lot to him and who played in the balance of his return .

“The support I have felt from the fans has been truly remarkable. It has been nothing short of incredible that I have a hard time finding words. Their support means a lot to me and has especially allowed me to come back to Star Wars and playing more things with this character. It’s really special.”

If the Star Wars: Ahsoka series gets a season 2, it would not be surprising if Lucasfilm and Disney+ once again called on Hayden Christensen for some flashbacks, or the continuation of the Jedi’s adventures, especially if we take into account the last seconds of the final episode. In any case, one thing is certain: the fans want more.
