the first returns of funds in euros have fallen, News / Actu Epargne

The year starts with the traditional communications of insurers on the returns of their funds in euros. The MACSF opened the ball on January 6 by revealing a very good performance of its contracts, around 1% above the average expected for 2021. France Mutualiste and Sogécap have just followed suit with more modest returns.

Performance of 2021 life insurance contracts (euro funds, PER)

La France Mutaliste

  • 1.31% Where 1.51% for its multi-carrier life insurance contracts Savings2, Savings2 Young people, Savings2 Seniors, Savings2 Protected, Livret Jeun’Avenir, and Livret RM, depending on the percentage – less than or greater than 25% – of savings invested in units of account;
  • 2% for the Combatant’s Mutualist Retreat (RMC) whose subscription is older and longer term. Annuities made up with a technical rate of less than 2% are revalued in the form of a participation in surpluses;
  • 1.6% for its individual retirement savings product (PERI) LFM PER’FORM, Llaunched in December 2020;
  • 1.51% for its multi-carrier life insurance policy Bridge, which involves an investment of up to 35% in a dynamic unit-linked fund with no risk of capital loss at term (on January 2, 2031) or in the event of death: LFM World Equities Controlled Volatility.

Sogécap (Societe Generale group)

  • Maple Essential: 0.75% to 1.76%, depending on the amount and the share in units of account of the contract;
  • Sequoia: 0.75% to 1.84%, depending on the amount and the share in units of account of the contract;
  • Ebony : 1.15% to 1.8%, depending on the share in units of account of the contract;
  • PER Acacia: 1.20% to 1.8%, depending on the share in units of account of the contract.

That is 1.32% return on average on its support in euros in 2021 (+11 basis points compared to 2020), but including a yield increase paid according to the share in units of account taken out in these contracts. A novelty which plans to serve a supplement of:

  • + 15% if this portion is between 15% and 35%;
  • + 35% if it is between 35% and 50%;
  • + 50% if it is greater than 50%.

For media in euros without units of account, these performances are thus limited to 0.75% (Erable Essentiel, Séquoia) and 1.15% (Ebène), as well as to 1.2% for the PER Acacia.
